Microorganisms are highly susceptible to skin lesions, especially bacteria. The examples of bacteria that infect the skin are S.aureus, S.epidermidis, and Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus. Nowdays, many bacteria have resistance to the antibiotics, so an alternative could be effective in inhibit the growth. Calendula are plants with antioxidant, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory activity. Tea tree oil has antifungal, antiviral, antiprotozoal, and antibacterial activity. The aim of the study is to identify the antibacterial activity of the essential oil of calendula, tea tree, and the combination of calendula and tea tree to againstS.aureus, S.epidermidis, and MRSA........

Keywords : Calendula, MRSA, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Tea Tree.

Chronic wounds tend to be suffered by people with diabetes mellitus and paralysis, which causes decubitus ulcers. The older the age, low the immunity and the risk of getting infected with the wound become higher. Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus have been reported as the common causes in this case. This has led to reduced quality of life and depression in some patients; even post-amputation surgery sites of the part still have the potential complication of infection. Rhoeo discolor, occurs in many tropical countries that are found to have antibacterial properties because of their phenolic contents............

Cinnamic acid and its derivatives have a vital role in the synthesis of other important compounds and as precursors for the synthesis of cinnamic esters. Cinnamic acid and its derivatives have diverse bioactivity. This compound is able to inhibit the grow process from several species of bacteria and fungi. In addition, this compound has antioxidant, hepatoprotective, anti-inflammatory, anxiolytic, insect repellent, antidiabetic and anticholesterolemic activities. One of the cinnamic acid derivative compounds is n-octyl cinnamate.............

Malaria is an acute febrile disease that is caused due to the parasite infection, transmitted in humans by female anopheles mosquito bite. Malaria is one of the leading reasons of mortality worldwide, but the early detection and quick acting treatment can fend off these unpleasant results. In Africa and some Asian countries, malaria is the most common disease, while in other developed countries it occurs due to import from endemic countries. As early as the 2nd century BC Chinese people used sweet sagewort plant to cure malarial fever. Quinine began to be used as an anti-malarial drug much later. A worldwide fight in oppose to malaria.....
